still sapped of energy (don't suppose our little post-reading drink-a-thon last night has helped) so i'm procrastinating on the blog front...but here's a few pix from the Reading Festival on the weekend...DJ'ing with The Vinyl Vendettas on the Radio One stage...a blast! We Dj'ed in 2005 and so much fun, dancing like crazy and making friends, that Mean Fiddler (the folks who run Reading) asked us back again this year. And I travelled all the way from Australia!

There was a new addition to Reading in 2006: The Silent Disco. Held in the Radio One tent after midnight, 1,600 people dancing with Headphones on: so the disco is silent to all but those weaaring headphones...silent, except for the shuffle of dancing feet and the raised voices..."Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh" of The Futureheads...big chorus's being the winners. The Vendettas, BBC's Steve Lamacq and My Ex-Boyfriends Records all took to the stage on Channel 2, a group of dutch DJ's played cheesy disco on Channel 1. I have to say, on Saturday night, The Vendettas & Lamacq kicked ass!! We even had the Raconteurs, some of the Soledad Brothers, and Goldie Lookin Chain dancing on stage with us. Yep - I had Jack White dancing to indie rock in headphones!
Bring on the dancing masses...wearing their headphones...
