Just got home from the 2006 Green Man Festival...held this year in Crickhowell, near Abvergavenny. I was managing the merch stall there...and holy cow! we sold bucket loads of lovely green man t-shirts, and a ton of beautifully hand-stitched cds from voice of the seven woods and tunng.
CALEXICO!!! they headlined last night...we had a mariachi dance-a-thon in the tent. i hugged strange people and two-stepped with steve & jemma. the three amigos, ole!
steve nicked off for a bit on saturday (or was it friday) to replace the television personalities.steve, you are a bright shiny thing. excellent wellies too, star.
The Vinyl Vendettas shook up the DJ tent on Saturday evening...Laura, Beth, Jemma & I hit the stage and had the yippies dancing to martha & the vandellas, captain beefheart, rocksteady crew, and some latin gems...
oh - and this nice person called wooden rabbit said this about us on the discussion board...
It's a shame you guys weren't running the GENERAL STORE :( The friendliness of the MERCH stand was excellent. And you were SO efficient too.

T-shirts were good though, and fairly priced. Agree about the staff on the merch stand, very nice people.

heee heee...now i'm just showing off...
tired now, after working for 21 hours today...packing, stacking & counting away. Lots of crazy hippies and beards all over the place...drove back to Cardiff shouting along to The Pixies (distorted guitar, how sweet thy sound...)before falling asleep in the back seat amongst the tent, wellies, mud & merch.
