being at home for the last few weeks has meant many things. first of all, i have now spent more than 5 nights in a row in my new flat, have slightly rearranged the furniture, have watched hours & hours of CSI and a whole series of The Wire, have spent hours snuggled in the lovely king size Marks & Spencers duvet on the bed, and have built an outdoor table & chairs set.
i have also been to gatecrasher & back, drunk copious bottles of red wine, eaten 3 fish pies from the spar, been to ATP (skipping all the bands in favour of lying on a blanket in the sun), Berlin, Maidstone & London with Hot Chip, good time superstars. I have also had my bass guitar fixed and started my first Iain Banks novel.
and oh, the charity shopping! hours spent rifling through the kitchenware shelves have produced a series of 60's enamel bowls & oddly shaped crockery, as well as an intricately designed chinese enamel plate for the new indoor plant to rest gloriously on. Not to mention the frosted shot-glasses and blue plastic bracelet.
beth and i have taken to walking through bute park (to the "big tescos"!) and putting the world in it's place. you should all see an improvement any day now.
