Day 10, sold out again!

Preston. Somewhere in the north of England, not the north of Melbourne. De-pressedton. Although the flyde chippy across the road did do a rather smashing haddock, chips & mushy peas. We have sold out the venue tonight, making it the 7th show in a row. Seven shows and steadily getting more crowd-crazy. I do believe the kids in Wolverhampton run with the wolves. Al was inspired to hand out his bongos to the crowd, Hot Chip & Matthew Dear's Big Hands had a dance party in the tiny basement dressing room, and we re-wrote the words to Lionel Richie's "All Night Long" along a coffee-based theme (Hey, Jumbo Latte...)

Portsmouth, last sunday. Somewhere in the south of England, very north of Melbourne. A dilapidated Southsea pier provided a "Gaeity Suite" and some choice book & coaster finds. But nothing could prepare us for the joys of the Southsea Model Village. Possibly the most crap, not-to-scale I have ever seen. Although it did have a giant cat...which reminded me of the genius of "Kitten Kong"...delightful!
