peaches...kickin it gold coast to sydney!

20th - 27th January...

Just got home from 3 weeks on tour with Peaches & Herms, my favourite ladies and crew. what an awesome tour. started in Auckland on the 17th January and wound away across the lands with the Big Day Out...jumping from towers, crashing stages, cruising the river at Surfers Paradise, Spring Break stylee, witnessing the divinity of the Presets, slaying the crowds at sold out side-shows, doing karaoke with hot chip & incredible beat box band, having dinner with tool, holding snakes, DJ'ing at clubs, Fi DJ'ing at Lilyworld, singing along to the killers, spending days off at the beaches of Byron Bay & Perth, eating delicious food, learning about wine in Adelaide...

AND BRINGING A TOUCH OF CLASS TO THE BIG DAY OUT!
THANK YOU ALL...YOU ROCK MY WORLD.

Day before the Gold Coast BDO, Peaches posse took to the Narang River, on the Parti Kraft, for our own spring break stylee adventure, complete with Grandmaster Flash, a broke-down boat, a swim in the shark-infested river and swigging from the wine bottle...

Post show 4 (which was a sold out, sweat & sex-fest at The Great Northern Hotel in Byron Bay, a brilliant show complete with sword swallowers, a multitude of crazy outfits, fantastic support sets from Snax & I Heart Hiroshima & an appearance from my cousin & her girlfriend who i have not seen for years), we had a day off in Byron Bay. I took the opportunity to visit my Grandma, and in the afternoon we hit a blue-bottle infested Tallows Beach & spent a few glorious hours boogie-boarding at Wategos. Straight after we headed off to Dingo Lane, Myocum, where my folks threw a BBQ for the band & crew. We drank wine given to us by Maynard from Tool, chowed down on fish & prawns from Brunswick Heads harbour. Completely toasted and happy, we headed back to Brisbane, where JD & I hit The Alibi Room.

After Brisbane for a night, came a killer day of press at the ABC - I accompanied Peaches to interviews with Zan Rowe (an awesome hour of co-hosted radio) and my old friend Robbie Buck. Then an amazing hour of programming Rage, complete with costume changes & a shout out to yours truly. The show was sold out and amazing, Peach, JD & I started our week of being roomies...what trouble we would be in this was permanent! The gals opened and closed THE LAIR, a new show on MTV - kickin the ass out of Kasabian, Jet, blah blah blah, although a shout-out to the Spankrock guys for nailing it! Radio & Sam hosted a party on their balcony post-MTV (to celebrate her bridge climb) and we said farewell to the shiny city....

next stop in my separation anxiety therapy, hometown adventures in Melbourne...
