sure, abbey road is a great album. "here comes the sun" is as perfect a pop song as a perfect pop song gets. "i want you" - hits me where it hurts every damn time. and sure, i dreamt of living on abbey road NW8 (and i so very nearly did!) just so i could write my address on the tags off all my underwear.

and yeah, jeff buckley can sing. and ok computer has some good moments. and led zeppelin fooking rock n stuff. but hello???? in the top 15 "best albums of all time", as voted by us abc-watching australians (and no i didn't vote...it's all my fault...my dream list comes later) - we have 4 beatles albums, 3 pink floyd albums, 2 radiohead albums. NOT ONE ROLLING STONES ALBUM! AND NO WOMEN PEOPLE! NO AUSTRALIANS!! we had to wait until #18 to get Carole King's "tapestry". our first lady. and we waited until #23 to get our first Aussie...Midnight Oils "10-1". How quickly we forget the Hall Of Fame initiation.

oh jeeze...i just counted 4 women in our alleged 100 favourite albums of all time. and DELTA FUCKING GOODREM was one of them! of all time people! not just those two months when you were smoking crack...

sorry. subject close to my heart. i had to scroll through the list 5 times to check that the beach boys' pet sounds DID. NOT. MAKE. IT.
